Samsung in its pursuit to detach itself from over reliant on Google, has now acquired Viv Labs and intelligent interface company that was also the brain behind Apples Sire. Viv has developed a unique, open artificial intelligence platform that allows third-party developers to use and build conversational assistants and integrate a natural language-based interface into applications and services.

With the acquisition, Samsung is able to close the loop with its award winning hardware and couple with now an interface that has been missing in its smartphones. It can now be able to unlock and offer new service experiences for its customers, including simpler interaction.
