Panasonic introduces Lumix GF5; made for women
Sporting a stylish design, the Lumix DMC-GF5 is combining the name Lumix and Venus Engine image processor to deliver a host of creative expressions to appeal to the female consumers. The 12.1-megapixel Live MOS sensor camera incorporates a variety of shooting options to enhance photography experience. With the Lumix GF5, it also brings in storytelling through artistic images and creation in the Photonista campaign through L.u.V (Lumix + Venus Engine).
“It is the world’s fastest high speed autofocus with touch capable LCD screen, renewed filters with creative control tab. Most amazing is the scene guide feature that can guide user to capture photos like a professional photographer,” says Jeff Lee, Managing Director of Panasonic Malaysia.
With its Light Speed AF, the Lumix GF5 can focus in approximately, which Panasonic claims, 0.09 seconds. Combined with Touch AF control and burst shooting at four frames per second in full resolution, this camera should be able to capture fast moving objects clearly.
Another feature available is the touch display and Graphic User Interface (GUI) that provide users with simple operation. The touchscreen allows users to focus on a subject by touching the screen and users are able to snap a photo directly from the touchscreen. Additionally, once users touch a subject, the focus will continuously track the subject with the AF tracking function even if it moves.
The Lumix GF5 will be available in black, gold, brown, red and white in the following kit options:
- Body with twin lens 14mm plus 14-42mm standard zoom lens is priced at RM2599
- Body with power zoom lens 14-42mm is priced at RM2699.
This model will be available in Lumix Station and authorised Panashop outlets nationwide beginning June onwards.
