Microsoft launches Internet Explorer 9
Microsoft Malaysia announced the launch of the latest version of the world’s most-used browser with the release of Windows Internet Explorer 9. Internet Explorer 9 is Microsoft’s most-downloaded browser beta of all time, with more than 40 million downloads.
“Gone are the days when the Internet was just a place to get information. Today, we use the Internet for so much more. Websites now focus on being fun and interactive, where people can come together, connect and share their thoughts through videos, photos and applications,” said Danny Ong, Chief Marketing and Operations Officer of Microsoft Malaysia.
“Internet Explorer 9 taps into the real potential of the Web,” said Jonathan Wong, Internet Explorer Product Marketing Manager at Microsoft Asia Pacific. “It is about adding value and bringing alive the sites and the information that rests on it. The browser interface has been cleaned to make it clutter-free so sites can gain prominence. Websites can now feel like native applications and not something that is caught within a browser.”
