[Concept] Fujitsu Lifebook 2013: Laptop, camera, smartphone & tablet all-in-one

There’s nothing like a cool concept device to get any techie’s blood pumping. Enter the Fujitsu Lifebook 2013 concept by Prashant Chandra, which combines a tablet, phone, digital camera and keyboard into one awesome device.

When needed, you can detach the tablet and use it as a tablet, same goes for the digital camera. While the laptop does not sport a keypad of its own – it uses a 16 pin docking area which lets you connect to the tablet. The tablet in turn functions as a touch-based QWERTY keyboard.

What takes the cake for this particular concept device you ask? It’s advantages include a low chance of keyboard malfunction ( as the keypad is not mechanical), single point update of all device software, using the tablet as a sketch pad with a stylus and best of all, no wires are needed to sync the devices with each other.

All in all, it’s shaping up to be a cool concept especially since it incorporates devices that many carry around for use daily. Not only will the Lifebook save you space, it takes away the hassle of keeping track of all the wires for transferring and syncing files. Whether or not this concept actually makes it to production remains to be seen. Lets hope Fujitsu (or any other manufacturer) takes this into serious consideration.

Could this be the future of mobile computing?
